The backlighting, individual or area, control is the trend that all of the major TV makers are trying for maximum LED power savings and delivery of the best color performance.

• For the audio market, the conventional surround technology is right now very mature. However, consumers cannot enjoy the 3D surround music from the small portable systems due to the size or space limitation. It is difficult to reproduce the 3D surround music with the two closely packed speakers. One needs headphones. This physical space limitation creates a big market if true stereo sound can be reproduced from packed speakers for these handheld electronic products.
